The way we communicate with each other as humans has changed entirely during our lifetimes. From cord-restricted phones, sending letters and then using dial-up internet, we have evolved to instant messaging apps and high-resolution video chatting. Technology has changed how we order our food, how we arrange transport, and even how we watch our favorite TV programs. And yet, the one part of our lives that seems to have remained untouched by technology is how we receive our medical care.
Think about it for a second – your great grandparents, when they had a skin problem, would need to arrange an appointment with a doctor, wait weeks to be seen, be given a prescription from the office, physically get to a pharmacy to pick up the medication, and then live in hope of an improvement in time for their clinic follow up in a few months’ time. Sound familiar? It’s probably because you’ve had the same experience yourself in the year 2020, with the unwelcome addition of bigger co-pays and prescription costs than what they experienced. That’s not to mention a lot of people in the U.S. who simply don’t have access to any in person dermatologists in order to get a diagnosis and treatment plan in the first place.
This has to change. Access to dermatologic care needs to be simpler, faster, cheaper, more convenient and more personalized. This is why, in 2018, I founded ClearifiRx with three of my exceptional dermatologist colleagues: Steve Xu, James Allred and Neal Kumar. Our mission is to provide patients with affordable, cutting-edge and comprehensive skin care solutions through a secure and reliable online platform.
In the last few years, we have added to our team expert physicians in the fields of dermatology, plastic surgery and women’s health to help us produce a skin care solution fit for the modern age.
We want people to ask themselves the next time they have a skin problem they need fixed; do I really want to do it the old fashioned way, or should I try the ClearifiRx way?
We are constantly looking for ways to improve the ClearifiRx service, and our patients are the most important voice guiding us in that direction.
Please let us know if you have any feedback.
